Help with Query for Custom Collection
We are currently experiencing an issue where computers in our environment are being turned off and remain off for quite some time. As you know this affects our ability to meet compliance with patching and also skews our post-deployment number. I want to build a collection in which I take the 4550+ machines in our ALL SYSTEMS collection and write a query that pulls PCs that are offline 30% or more of the time. I am not at all experienced with building a query, let alone one which seems as complicated in nature as this one. Any help that you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

That will be incredibly difficult. I think you can accomplish the same end result much easier. You could either 1. Clear the install flag on machines after xx number of days. Build a patch collection that cotains only machines marked as client = yes. (that's what I do) 2. build a collection of machines that have not been powered on in XX number of days. 3. Use a third party wake on lan tool such as the one by 1E or Adaptiva to power those machines on. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|

I concur with John. Heck, I don't even think uptime statistics are recorded anywhere in COnfigMgr so I don't think the data's even there.Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com | Twitter @JasonSandys

I usually do a collection based on how long ago hardware inventory was reported , Depending upon how often you do hardware inventory. This gives a approximate snapshot of how machines are not reporting into SCCM and for how long
