Help needed with SharePoint databases for TFS
Hello
I am currently doing a plan to migrate and upgrade a TFS 2008 SP1 instance to TFS 2010.
I have noticed that the WSS 3.0 databases are as follows:
WSS_AdminContent WSS_AdminContent_923b1d8f6fde4a5a9284e38a8e60c975 WSS_Config WSS_Config_c11453b8584a4b45846c6d2296b3d084 WSS_Content WSS_Content_b01ff96493fc469fa310771ce858f4b2
And that the databases without GUIDs in their name are not being used. I don't know how this has happened but is there any
safe way of correcting this so that I simply end up with:
WSS_AdminContent WSS_Config WSS_Content
I guess from a pure SQL Server point of view, this would require deletes of non-GUID databases followed by renames of the GUID based databases. But, I don't know about the SharePoint side of things.
