Help! How to send SSIS reports with dynamic dates?
Hi, I tried to send out SSIS reports with dates appended through SFTP. How I did is 1.create a variable 2. edit the expression of connection string in the flat file connection manager in data flow task 3.edit the expression of local in the SSH connection manager Though the file with dates (i.e ABC20111011.csv) is created in the folder, I am not able to send it out..the error message is 'the connectin 'abc20111011.csv' is not found', error source is SFTP task. I am kind of confused about where should I edit the expression..could somebody help out? Should I change something in the file system task? Many thanks!!!!!!

did you set default valid value for the variable? SSIS check it at validation phasehttp://www.rad.pasfu.com

Sorry...I am new to this...so how to set default valid value for the variable? I set it as string and the scope is the whole package. Is there anything else I need to do? BTW I tried it in a new way.. 1. I deleted the expression in the SSH connection manager and 2. simply set the local of the SFTP task the file connection manager.. seems that there is no error when the package is running...but I am just not sure what the SFTP server will get..Will the SSH connection manager send the file(appended with dynamic date) created by the file connection manager? Could anyone help?? Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!

in the variable definition ( where you added the variable ) , you have a column named value. enter a value in this columns, just note that this should be a valid existing file address.http://www.rad.pasfu.com
