It seems the IIS installation is corrupt as nothing shows up in IIS manager. You might need to reinstall the server.Stefan Goner Senior Escalation Engineer - Microsoft CSS This post is provided "AS IS" with no warrenties and confers no rights.

Please help!!!! I removed the language pack in hopes that it was corrupt and i could reinstall and it would fix the office web apps problem i have been having. Now, every site collection including the site admin, will give me the 'HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable' error. Ideas?

Hi, Have you executed the configuration wizard? If not then execute that. Also check your IIS if the site or app pool is stopped. I hope this will help you out. Thanks, Rahul Rashu

Hi EndOOSer, I faced a similar problem once. The follwoing fixed my issue magially, check if the same works for you: Kill / End the owstimer.exe from task manager do a iisreset Wait until the owstimer comes back (a new owstimer.exe process will automatically get created after few minutest) Now open iis (inetmgr) you should start seeing all the iis notes Try this let me know how it went.Regards, Nikhil Sharma Dharanipragada

Hello all, thanks for the replies... It turns out that the only option was to go ahead and do a complete restore of the main server, did so, and everything is back to normal
