HTTP logs directory name
Hello
In my Moss2007, the "Windows SharePoint Services HTTP log file" are stored in wrong directory: the today's 00.log log (2010-04-27) is stored in the "2010-04-26" directory. All other logs are stored correctly.
I have a logparser that import this logs in a DB (for usage statistics report) and is based, for the date, on directory names (in 00.log files is reported only the timestamp).
Do you have any idea?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my very bad english
Regards
Claudio

I don 't know from where this behaviour comes...but go into central administration and change the timespan for each logfile to a value that is indivisible by 60 minutes, e.g. 31 minutes
You can do that also by stsadm(with "c:\logs" replaced by your own log dir and "100" the number of logfiles in memory)
stsadm -o gl-tracelog -logdirectory c:\logs -logfilecount 100 -logfileminutes 31

BTW stsadm-o gl-tracelog is not your standard stsadm command. It's Gary Lapointe's stsadm custom extensions availalbe at stsadm.blogspot.com

Thank you all for the reply. I try now .
In "Central Administration > Operations > Diagnostic Logging > Diagnostic Logging" I have 30 mins ... now 31.

Sorry...I'm here again...
the today's log dir (2010-04-29) is not created and the sharepoint is still writing on the old file (2010-04-28\00.log).
I run disable/enable log and IISRESET and now the logs are working (created the "2010-04-29" directory and 00.log file).
Now I wait tomorrow
Thanks all again
