a workround for this would be to install the word , excel viewers that arve available from microsoft on the clients machinesthat dont have office installed. Its not ideal , but will get round the problem. I hope this helps joe

I am not sure why you need the HTML Viewer? Have you tried turning on Document Conversion for the .doc and .Docx and this will give you the ability to have the docs in HTML?
