HP SIM Services not found?
Hello, I am receiving several alerts like: Alert: HP Insight Management Agents failed. Resolution state: New Source: HP Insight Management Agents Path: MBSQLFIMCL-ENT.ad;MBSQLFIMCL-ENT.ad Last modified by: System Last modified time: 6/20/2011 11:10:38 AM Alert description: One of service software related to HP Insight Management Agents is not running. Alert: HP Insight Management Agents failed. Resolution state: New Source: HP Insight Management Agents Path: MBSQLFIMCL.ad;MBSQLFIMCL.ad Last modified by: System Last modified time: 6/20/2011 11:10:27 AM Alert description: One of service software related to HP Insight Management Agents is not running. I have identified the two services using the Health Explorer: cpqRIIS and hplopts. I checked on a machine (supposely identical) which is not sending the alert and I don't see these services either !!! 1. where to check for these services? services.msc? 2. there is no override and the second machine is showing these services healthy. This could happen if you have a very old HPSIM software running. In that case you should upgrade to the latest version. Otherwise there most be an HPSIM service not running. Hello, Yes they are installed and I am getting HPSim Alerts through emails... it seems it is some internal settings on the installtion of Insight Management which could be different between the servers !!!! still reviewing... Hello, I verfied again and all services running are identical on six servers.
