Groupings in table report
So I'm updating a pre-existing report and as a newbie can't understand why my changes aren't having the desired impact. The report in its current state has parameters for country and node that are selected prior to running, and the report is grouped by node and then country (i.e. there's a report for the first node, grouped/sorted/subtotaled by country, then a second report for node 2, also grouped/sorted/subtotaled by country). I've been asked to add in region (which is above country) and group all of the countries by region, with subtotals of all countries within the region and so forth. I inserted a group, set it to equal the field called region, and then set the parent for country to be region. But all that happens is that region is just a header for each country, and no region sorting or grouping is occurring. . Any thoughts?

Hello rdw72777, Thank you to communicate with Microsoft Forum. Based on you description, I consider that you can try to add these aggregation operation in the group. Here is the detail steps. Select the countries group and right click to insert the rows after the group. Then fill the aggregation function of the records to calculate the sum, average, or count value. I tested it with AdventureWorks sample database on my side. Here is my sample and result. Regards, EdwardEdward Zhu TechNet Community Support
