Group by more than 3 columns

Hi Friends,

I'm trying to group the list by 3 levels and somehow I couldn't get it working. From the forums, I found this link: http://www.dotnetsharepoint.com/2015/05/group-by-more-than-2-columns-sharepoint.html and I'm following it to the letter.

But somehow I'm getting a blank page when I open the page on SharePoint site.

Any suggestion?

Hi ChandraShekhar- did you read the replies at the end of those instructions? Someone else had the same issue. Try the responses to see if you can get it to work. Looks like you should add another web part zone to the page and make sure it's visible.

Hi,

As I understand, you want to group by more than 3 columns in SharePoint 2013.

Do you see the error in the bottom of the page?

You could add the library or list by data view directly, and do not add the empty data view.

You also could consider setting your first grouping as a filter instead and then using the grouping options for the other two levels.

There is a similar case:

Hello Sara,

Thank you for the replies. Yes I have already gone thru those blogs and they do work perfectly in 2010. But nothing works in 2013. I didn't get any error. There's just a blank. When I add the list to the site page using designer, even then the page doesn't display the web part

Hello again,

Using designer I created a Wiki Page. Used the Parse HTML option and inserted the list using the Data Source option and I'm getting this error

"Content in the embedded form field may be changed by the server to remove unsafe content"

Why is the designer not able to add just a single list on a Wiki page? I wish the SharePoint designer 2010 can be used to display 2013 content. Atleast that's stable enough to get the things working
