Group By Both Columns and Rows
Hi I have a report where it contains fields that are grouped by Rows and Columns. Eg: I have a set of students where I set a required a balance mark for each class. Here I have colored them in red. Class 0 has a different balance and class 1 has a different balance. But they depend on the date. How can I solve this? r Malin De Siva, Microsoft Student Ambassador, Sri Lanka www.malindesilva.com

Anyway, I found a solution for this guys. This can be done using a Matrix over a Tablix which I used earlier.Malin De Siva, Microsoft Student Ambassador, Sri Lanka www.malindesilva.com

Hi Malin, Sorry for my delay response. To meet your requirement, we can use matrix to display aggregate values of the row and column groups. Based on your description, I designed a similar report with matrix data region on my test environment. Please take as reference. The following screen shot shows the design structure of my report. (Note: the row display average values should be inside the Class group.) For more information about Matrix data region, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157334(v=sql.100).aspx Regards, Fanny LiuFanny Liu TechNet Community Support
