Global Versioning
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to set the doc/list library version console at top-level instead of per doc/list library as a standard and prevent user from changing it if possible? Thanks

So you just want a template for all sites and sub sites created? Will all users have the same set of rights to everything else on the site? IE Could you just used group permissions and inherit those from the master? mhtml:http://officeimg.vo.msecnd.net/en-us/files/225/943/AF010344281.mht < THis could get you started as well.. I don't know any good solution. If you really need it, you may write some program with visual studio to enable/disable version using the object model http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sharepoint.splist.enableversioning.aspx . If you don't give user Manage List permission, for example, if user only has Contribute permission level, user won't be able to modify the list settings. Kris, Yes, I would like to have a template (feature) that I can just activate on all sites and subsites. I was hoping for a built-in solution that I can just use but I guess I'm going to need to go extra length to get it done. Thank you all for your suggestions.
