Getting error while connecting SCOM console to RMS
Hi,I am getting following error while connecting to RMS from the console which i have installed in my local machine.Date: 10/15/2009 4:48:44 PMApplication: System Center Operations Manager 2007Application Version: 6.0.5000.0Severity: ErrorMessage: Failed to connect to server 'myRMS.mydomain.com' System.PlatformNotSupportedException: You have attempted to connect to a server which is incompatible with your Operations Console. Please ensure both client and server are using compatible Microsoft-signed versions of the software. at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Internal.UI.Common.ManagementGroupSessionManager.CheckIfServerCompatible(ManagementGroup connection) at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Internal.UI.Common.ManagementGroupSessionManager.Connect(String server) at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Internal.UI.Console.ConsoleWindowBase.TryConnectToManagementGroupJob(Object sender, ConsoleJobEventArgs args)My OS is Windows 7 and My RMS server is installed with SCOM 2007 R2. I also imported Windows Server Operating System library management pack version 6.0.6667.0 as per the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974722.I suspect the SCOM console application version. It seems like you have a old version of the console on your machine. Have you installed it from the R2 installation source? You cant use a SP1 console with R2. Also, have you tried from a non-Windows 7 workstation?Anders Bengtsson | Microsoft MVP - Operations Manager | http://www.contoso.se
