Getting Http: 500 errors no package related tasks work
A site reset *might* fix that. If not: uninstall the MP and reinstall it again.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

Hello Torsten, I will look into this. If I have to attempt to reinstall the MP role does that cause any ill effects as currently this is our only primary site server and there is not backup MP.

Hello, I am currently having a very serious issue with SCCM. Our SCCM server runs on the same box as Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2. Earlier this week I installed the patch Virtual Machine Manager Self-Service Portal update (KB2701207). Upon rebooting SCCM is now completely not working other than being able to open the console. and view machines. No package distribution, operating system deployment or reporting.Going to any SCCM websites give you internal 500 errors. What appears to have happened is when the patch is applied it assumes that VMM is the default website and messes with IIS settings. I am not sure if I can just manually reset these settings. In IIS the application pool for the SCCM website was changed to the VMM pool instead of whatever the correct SCCM pool is. I have already reset the physical location back to the correct default of C:\inetpub\wwwroot. but have no idea what default application pool to use. We are running SCCM R3 with SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2. I would be grateful for any assistance in this matter. Edit: I believe that the patch changed the application pool settings as if I look at the IIS Console the VMM pool now has 15 applications and all but one are the SCCM pools. I have no clue if I can fix this.
