Gathering information from SCCM
Hey guys, as you probably know from my other 2 post I am new to SCCM and am still getting my head around a lot of what it can do. I do have a few quick questions to ask that I am hoping are going to save me a bunch of time with my current tasks. This way I can kill 2 birds with one stone by learning more about SCCM and knocking of a few jobs. 1. Is there a way to see all computer names next to the mac address and maybe export it to csv? We have a bunch of computers that have been built and they never deleted the old name from AD. I am hoping to match the MAC of the laptop in SCCM and see what the old computer name was and delete the duplicate entry's. 2. We have bunch of laptops that have not had all the patches installed. Is there a way to make sure all laptops are set to automatic download and install of updates and if possible kick it off right away? 3. Is it possible to change the computer name of a laptop and rejoin it to AD. I assume that this is possible with a script but not sure how it would affect the end user. Would I be able to prompt them and inform them that it will require a reboot so that they can save there work? Any help on these would be great, and thanks everyone for your time to help me out with these stupid questions..
