Gateway server installation
We are trying to monitor 20 servers belonging to a different domain from a RMS that is in another domain. The two domains dont have a trust between them and cannot be established. We are aware that a gateway server can enable such communication . Please help me can we use exsisiting gate way server which located in diffrent domain or we need to setup a newgateway server.

Hi, I would setup a gateway in that domain as a domain member of that domain. Otherwise there would be no trust between the agents and the gateway or rms in another domain. Would mean you would have to install certificates on all of them. Installing a gateway in that separate domain would get rid of that requirement (certificate only on the gateway of course).Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient

Gateway server should be installed on the domain where you have 20 servers. Else you can install the certificate on all the 20 servers so that is can communicate with the management server. Thanks, SaravThanks, Sarav
