This Forum site contains several statistics information. For top answerers there are three categories, Top Answerers, Top MVP Answerers, and Top Microsoft Answerers. The category Top Answerers includes MVP participates. I think this category need to be adjusted be removing MVP from the list as they have their own category. The feature you're complaining about is a forums wide feature and not one that is specific to this forum. If you want to make suggestions about changes to the forums, you should post your suggestion here - http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/suggest/threads.
