Form Based Authentication Problem
Hello, I have a two server SharePoint 2007 server farm which includes one front end and one SQL 2008 R2 server. The web application is extended with two zones - 1) Windows based auth - Extranet 2) Forms based authentication - Internet. Browsing to the Internet zone, I get the FBA login page. i created a user using the ASP.Net Web site Administration tool on the SQL sever. But, I am not seeing this user in the SQL Forms authentication database from the Add Users from People and Groups page. Can someone help me in right steps to enable this. Thanks in advance, John

Hi John, You should provide the membership provider and connection string details in the web.config file of both your sitecollection as well as in central administrator. by default these users are stored in aspnetdb database. if this user is a local user you must add this user to your system else if the user is a domain user then user automatically comes to Add users page. you must give one of the user as a sitecollection administrator and he has to add the other users to the site. please check all above conditions . Thanks, Nivas
