When verifying SQL Analysis Services version during the basic install I get the following error: SQL Analysis Services Client: Setup cannot connect to the SQL Server Analysis Services. Verify that the computer is accessible, that the SQL Server Analysis Services is installed and running, that the firewall is allowing connections to the service, and that the current user has permissions to access the service. Analysis Services is running, I can’t seem to find the problem.

I just remembered I installed analysis services after I installed the last service pack. I reinstalled the service pack and that seemed to fix my issues.
