Forefront ID Manager 2010 Installation Help
Question I’m currently in the process of installing Forefront ID Manager 2010 I’ve already setup the following items in my LAB 1: Windows 2003 DC 2: Windows 2008 R2 Standard with Share Point 2010 3: Windows 2008 R2 Standard with SQL 2008 R2 3: Exchange 2007 4: Setup all requested service accounts for Forefront The problem is every time I go to install “Forefront ID Manager 2010” I receive the following error message. The features you have selected have the following prerequisites. Refer to the installation for more information. Please update your machine and retry the information. Need assistance ASAP please need this setup by no later than Wednesday? And yes I’ve gone through the prerequisites and assured that there all installed. Thanks,

RS6000, The only valid Sharepoint flavor to host the FIM Portal is WSS 3.0 SP1 or higher (like SP2) (Windows Sharepoint Services). SharePoint 2010 is not supported... As far as other prerequisites did you installed the .net framework? On Windows 2008 R2 it's built in, but you have to enable it through the feature manager. Perhaps you can provide some more info? yes I enabled .Net framework 3.5.1 . Hmm it appears to be a typical monday for me let me install WSS and i'll get back with you. thanks

I don't think the prereq error is complaining about SharePoint though.. But installing WSS is a requirement anyhow.http://setspn.blogspot.com

Maybe IIS is not installed, when installing WSS it should be correctly added though.Need realtime FIM synchronization? check out the new http://www.traxionsolutions.com/imsequencer that supports FIM 2010 and Omada Identity Manager real time synchronization!
