ForeFront Endpoint Protection - Setup error (SPN)
Hi all,
We try to install ForeFront Endpoint Protection on SCCM Server.
And get the following error:
Setup cannot verify the service principal name (SPN) for this account. Ensure that there is a single valid SPN entry for this account in the Active Directory Domain Services.
Account: SQLSrvAccount
SCCM Server:
Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter
SCCM
2007 R3
MSSQL
Server:
Windows
Server 2008 R2 Datacenter
SQL
Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
Results
of comand
setspn -l SQLSrvAccount
MSSQLSrvName/HostFQDN
MSSQLSrvName/HostName
MSSQLSrvName/HostFQDN:32000
MSSQLSrvName/HostName:32000
MSSQL uses static port 32000
Maybe somebody know where can be a problem?

setspn -l SQLSrvAccount
MSSQLSrvName/HostFQDN MSSQLSrvName/HostName MSSQLSrvName/HostFQDN:32000 MSSQLSrvName/HostName:32000
See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb735885.aspx. It should read MSSQLSvc, not "MSSQLSrvName", plus the entries without the port are not needed IMHO.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
