Folder Restricted Access
Hi, I have a site in which i have to restrict access to the folder in the shared Documents...how can i do that? I tried to create a folder and selected manage permission from the drop and deleted one of my friends name from the list of user...When he logged into using his id he was able to access the folder and was able to add flie and able to delete the folder itself... Please let me know how can i achive in restricting access to a particular folder in shared documents in the sharepoint site. Regards, Venku

Hi Skancharla, If i do that dont you think it will effect all the folders in the shared documents? I have mutliple folder already and just have to restrcit only for one folder... Infact i tried the manage permission by click on the folder list box...but that dint come into play... I also tried to create a new shared document folder with a name "temp" and removed my frineds name from that folder "temp"...but he was still able to see it and go into the folder and was able to view and create folders and files...this is becoming carzy for me... have to set up these folder soon for a particular set of users only. And also i noticed that ...every user i have a lmited access check box checked and it is greyed out..i am not able to take that out.(not sure if this is effecting... Venku
