FireFox and Chrome prompt users to login to an Anonymous Access site
We have several SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise sites that have Anonymous Access using IE with no problems. Recently users reported that using FireFox and Google Chrome that it prompts them to login to the anonymous sites. If you click cancel it then allows you to the anonymous SharePoint site. Does anyone know what settings need changed in FireFox and Chrome or SharePoint I guess that will allow those browsers to access anonymous sites without the prompt to login?Linda Chapman | SharePoint Consultant | My Blog: http://LindaChapman.BlogSpot.com | http://www.linkedin.com/in/LindaChapman

There are probably some resources, that is being refered in your site (masterpage, layout, css, javascript, jpeg etc.) that is not checked in/approved yet. Probably it is something minor that you don't really see on a page. You can install fiddler on a client to track exact resource that requires authentification.Paul Shkurikhin blog.sharepointalist.com
