I can look at a user group and find its members and permissions - is there a way to look at an individual user and find all of the groups that he/she is a member of? Thanks, Laura

Not out-of-the-box. You need some form of programming and maybe someone has already done this and made it available via codeplex or their blog. (I expect somebody will come in with a URL if we wait a while.)
