Filtering by a calculated column in SharePoint

Hi,

I have a calculated column in my SharePoint list. When I filter this list by the calculated column and choose more than one criteria from the drop-down it shows results filtered only by one criteria.

This behavior is specific to calculated columns, filtering by multiple criteria returns correct results for columns of other types.

Is this a bug or behavior by design in SharePoint 2013?

Thank you.

Hi Matt,

According to your description, my understanding is that the list view cannot filtered by calculated column correctly.

How did you set the filter by the calculated column?

I tried to reproduce your issue, and the view can be filtered correctly by the calculated column(cal is a calculated column):

Could you please provide more information of the filter and the calculated column for further research?

Best regards.

Thanks

Hi Victoria,

Sorry about not being clear enough, I did not mean creating a view filtered by the calculated column, just one time filtering by a calculated column. The steps to reproduce the issue are:

1. Hover over a calculated column header and click the arrow to view drop down menu.

2. Choose two filtering criteria and check the list. It will be filtered only by one criteria.

Thank you for your help!
