Filter in List View prevents Email Alerts
Anyone have any ideas on this; I have created a new view for a Forms Library list and restricted in by date (greater than todays date and less than 14 days in the future). This works perfectly ok. But as soon as I try to create an Alert based items changing in this view, Sharepoint throws an errors. See below. If I alter the fliter to just have one constraint, say greater than todays date, I am able to successfully create an Alert. Error Message Received: Code Snippet Exception occurred. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020009 (DISP_E_EXCEPTION)) at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass.AddSubscription(String bstrUrl, String bstrListName, String bstrListID, Boolean bListItem, UInt32 ulItemId, String bstrItemDocUrl, Int32 lEventType, Int32 lNotifyFreq, DateTime notifyTime, Int32 lStatus, Boolean bSiteAdmin, String bstrAlertTitle, Int32 lAlertType, String strAlertTemplateName, String bstrFilter, String bstrProperties, Boolean bSendMail, Int32 lUserID) at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.AddSubscription(String bstrUrl, String bstrListName, String bstrListID, Boolean bListItem, UInt32 ulItemId, String bstrItemDocUrl, Int32 lEventType, Int32 lNotifyFreq, DateTime notifyTime, Int32 lStatus, Boolean bSiteAdmin, String bstrAlertTitle, Int32 lAlertType, String strAlertTemplateName, String bstrFilter, String bstrProperties, Boolean bSendMail, Int32 lUserID) Thanks

I am seeing the same behavior in multiple environments. As soon as the filter has only one constraint the alert will work. I have also noticed another error in place of the HRESULT error. It doesn't appear as often: "Server out of memory - there is no memory on the server to run your program. Please contact you administrator with this problem. The same behavior causes both of these errors. Has anyone been able to resolve this problem?

I was working with MS today on this problem. The dev team is working on this - not sure when they might release something on this, but they are aware of it.
