File Not Found when click on Symantec Protection 5.1 for SharePoint Servers in central administration
Dears, We installed Symantec Protection 5.1 for SharePoint Servers and it was working fine till we faced suddenly the following error: when we click on "Symantec Protection 5.1 for SharePoint Servers" in Central Administration --> Operations, we get an error "File Not Found." After in-depth investigation and reading some articles we check the content DB and find that: select DirName, LeafName,VirusVendorID,VirusStatus,VirusInfo from AllDocs where VirusInfo is not NULL return one row with the following values: ************************** English/Departments/IT/apps/web/Incident_Test/Forms template.xsn 261 6 There is no Symantec Scan Engine available. The file was not saved. Please contact your administrator for more information. Code:8002 ****************************** We checked the returned file (http://ourwebroot/English/Departments/IT/apps/web/Incident_Test/Forms/template.xsn) and found that we already deleted this file and its form library (Incident_Test) We think that there is a relation between the error displayed and the file deleted (which its virus status as above = 6) We checked the "Symantec Protection 5.1 for SharePoint Servers" service and it is status is "started" We checked the "symantec" folder under IIS --> central admin --> _admin and found that it is existed there We need your help to fix the "File Not Found" error?

In my opinion you should contact Symantec with this problem. Problems caused by third-party products are problems for the support forums of those products. They are not problems for the Microsoft SharePoint forums. Moderator pre-SP 2010 forums SP 2010 "FAQ" (mainly useful links): http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx WSS3/MOSS FAQ (FAQ and Links) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx Both also have links to extensive book lists and to (free) on-line chapters
