File Not Found document error on certain URL formats
Our Sharepoint has 3 addresses:

http://intranet/
http://intranet.domain.local
https://sharepoint.publicdomain.com

All of these URLs are perfectly functional with the exception of document viewing (Word, Excel, etc.). The first URL gives a File Not Found error and Correlation ID, the second works, and the third is serving a blank page with just the breadcrumb trail header.

I don't even know where to start with this, I've had a hunt around in IIS but not found a lot.

Thanks

Hi,

As I understand, you encountered File not found document error on certain URL formats in SharePoint 2010.

Do you have configured the Alternate Access Mappings in the Central Administration?

You could check the details about the error according to the correlation ID in the ULS log. (The path of the ULS log: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\Logs)

If you have not configured AAM, you could configure the AAM for the http://intranet/.

If you have configured the AAM, you also could check if you have configured successfully.

For more detailed information, you could refer to the article below.

The article below is about how to configure alternate access mappings for SharePoint 2013.
