File History does not run automatically

Hello.  I have File History set to "Daily", however unless I intervene, File History does not automatically run a backup - daily or otherwise.

If found a task in task scheduler for it, and if I run the task manually File History does perform the backup -- but not by itself.

The task seems to update to "Next Run Time" the following day, but the "Last Run Time" stays old.. longer than a day ago.

I've manually modified the task to ensure a 'daily' trigger -- without error or otherwise it doesn't happen.

I reset FileHistory entirely by deleting appdata\flehistory.  I also  note that the config.xml files stored there do show a "DPFrequency" of 86400 (24 hours).

Advice?

Can I launch FileHistory from the command-line, as in --->  filehistory.exe xxxxx

Thanks/jim

Hi jim,

Based on what I know, there seems to be no commands available to manage File History.

For the backup configuration, have you checked the date modified tab on the .edb files?

Please take a check and see if any errors logged, change a backup drive and then check the issue.
