Feedback workflow - email initiator when task has been reassigned

Hello

Could someone please tell me how do I create a step so that if the feedback workflow is reassigned to someone else, then the workflow initiator gets notified by email.

The reason for this is that the person who is reassigned the task, may not have permissions to access the document and we would like the initiator to be prompted to do this for him/her to reduce any issues.

Thank you in advance, really appreciate it.

Hi Mel,

The reassign functionality code is not exposed in SPD 2010. So, in workflow you will not be able to add Initiator email for re-assign activity.

This can be achieved through InfoPath though. While editing this workflow associated InfoPath form, you can see Re-assign form (Drop down on left top). You can edit and add Cc as Initiator Email in this form.

Hope this clarifies . Thanks.

Thank you Anuja.

Can you kindly tell me where the reassign form is located. It is not under the list of forms used by the workflow.

Hi Mel,

Please see below image. In workflow, form section you can see xsn forms for approval - which you can customize.

Reassign form will be available in Page Design tab of the form. Let me know if you have further queries.
