Hi,"I HAVE A PROBLEM AFTER MOVE MOSS TO NEW SERVER"-What tool did you use to move to the new server? When you move data from Server1 to Server2 you need to have the exact same features installed on the target as the source. You could export from server1 using this tool to "exclude" the feature you don't have:http://www.moss2007.be/blogs/vandest/archive/2008/04/28/stsadm-o-export-fatalerror-failed-to-compare-two-elements-in-the-array.aspxCheers, Daniel Bugday Web: SharePoint Forum Blog: Daniel Bugday's SharePoint Blog

Hi,I got the same error but for my own custom feature. I did the following to resolvecopied the feature folder[CustomerContenttype & Customer]under 12\template\features\ and then run the command to install and activate.1. change the directory to 12\bin folder2. stsadm.exe -o installfeature -filename "CustomerContenttype\feature.xml"3. stsadm.exe -o activatefeature -filename "Customer\feature.xml" -url http://localhostFor your issue check under features folder do you have the "X_feature" folder and feature.xml files? and check whether you installed and activate the feature.

Hi, I have exactly same problem like others. Your solution may help me, but I haven't source of these two folders. Where I can find these folders or where I can download it? Is the only way to install new server and migrate this feature from there? Thanks

Hi if you are using vsewss tool to deploy your solution this tool generates new feature ID for the instance feature and another ID for template feature list. In fact, while deploying your solution sometimes these two features are not synchronized (depending on the order of deployment) and the instance list will point to the feature that is already unistalled hence leading to the error seen on this blog the solution is to keep the template feature and replace the default instance feature of vsewss with feature receiver that generates the instances of the lists based on the provided templates as follows : SPSite siteCollection = SPContext.Current.Site; SPWeb mySite = SPContext.Current.Web; SPListTemplateCollection listTemplates = siteCollection.GetCustomListTemplates(mySite); SPListTemplate listTemplate = listTemplates["Custom List Template"]; mySite.Lists.Add("Custom List", "A list created from a custom list template in the list template catalog", listTemplate); Cheers Mohamed Hachem
