Hi. I receive email alerts to changes made to a SharePoint site. I noticed that all links in the email to SharePoint documents that contain a period (".") do not work and an error message appears. For example, if a document named Text.doc.ppt was uploaded to the SharePoint site, the link to that document in the automatic email I receive will not work simply because it has a period in the name. Does anyone know why this is/how to fix it? Thanks!

This was a known bug for a while but this hotfix corrected it for me.
