Fatal error on SCCM install
Hello all, I hope you are well! Actually I am at the customer siter trying to install SCCM 2007 R2...but I can't !!! Fatal error Configuration Manager cannot continue because of the following error: Setup could not install the required component, VC Redistributable ConfigMgr installation cannot be completed.. ConfigMgrSetup.log In our first attempt... <05-25-2011 12:55:35> Failed to run 'C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\3\vcredist_x86.exe /Q:a /c:"msiexec.exe /norestart /qn /l* C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\3\vcredistmsi.log /i vcredist.msi"'. Please refer to error log at C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\3\vcredistmsi.log. In our second attempt... <05-25-2011 13:00:46> Failed to copy E:\SMSSETUP\BIN\I386\vcredist_x86.exe to C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\3\vcredist_x86.exe. Error: 5 From my side it's the firts time that I see that kind of error, I already downloaded the VC ++ 2005 from MS site, install it and start the SCCM setup with the same fatal error. We are trying to install it over an Hyper-V server. Windows 2008 R2 SQL 2008 R2 Does anyone already having an issue like mine...Stephane

Did you re check your source files? I think, something wrong with source files? Hello Kent, I did that with no success...We even tried to install it with the Administrator account. And I forgot to tell An00p that the image was the second one that we download Strange, strange Any ideas...Stephane
