Fantastic 40 Service Centre (Call Center) Application - Alerting Issue - Permissions ???
Hi all I've a MOSS2007/SQL2008R2 box and have installed my sites and added the Callcentre template and "played with it". I've added columns to the existing service requests lists and it all looks good. I have also added a Tasks site to be used to assign work to internal employees. I've found that unless they are a member of Service Request Owners, they do not get the email notification that they have been assigned a task. Can anyone help on this. It is highly frustrating. By making them members, it gives them the ability to Approve and I dont want that. Also, for the Issue Trackers Template (Call Centre) is there a way I can setup Alerting when a Customer Rep Assigns a request to someone. The template asks for Customer Representative (beign the person who took the request) and Assigned To (being who he/she decides does the job). I'd like them to get an email. Any help would be really helpful. D

Hi, How did you set the alerts for your users? Here are some guides about how to create alerts for users: http://www.coolweblog.com/bilodeau/archives/003249.html http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-sharepoint-services-help/create-an-alert-or-subscribe-to-an-rss-feed-HA010215103.aspx Or you can also use SPD to create your own workflow to send notifications. Hi Seven Can you confirm whether it is correct that the standard email notifications wont work unless the person is a member of the Site OWNERs group. David.
