Failed to successfully complete HTTP request. (StatusCode at WinHttpQueryHeaders: 404)
I am running SCCM 2007 R3 on windows 2008 SP1 machine Web server (IIS) is not running. errors are Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) is stopping because it encountered an error. The data field contains the error number.Event id 5005 The configuration manager for Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) did not initialize. The data field contains the error number. Event id 5036 Now it is showing as an information A worker process with process id of '4772' serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' was shutdown due to inactivity. Application Pool timeout configuration was set to 20 minutes. A new worker process will be started when needed. I restarted Windows process activation service and world wide web publishing services whosw status is shown as running Reason I am trying to trubleshoot this is that i am unable to install sccm client, doing it manually using mp, flp ,slp logon switches, showing error Failed to successfully complete HTTP request. (StatusCode at WinHttpQueryHeaders: 404) ccmsetup 6/9/2011 2:48:33 AM 776 (0x0308) I have checked C;\inetpub. temp fole and apppool config files are there alongwith some other files. Have installed and enabled WEBDAV and changed some of its attributes setting as recommended by Microsoft Any help will be appreciated.

Did IIS work properly before the configuration changes? Did you alter applicationHost.config for content filtering? If so do a restore of the original file if ppossible. Then restart the services (WAS, IISadmin, w3svc).Miguel Rodriguez

Can you show more of the log file so we can see exactly what it's not finding? Also, what switches are you using on the command-line (I'm assuming a manual installation). Hi, The HTTP 404 stands for the “object not found”. Please check if the WebDAV server extension configured properly: How to Configure Windows Server 2008 for Site Systems And if the "web service extension" under the IIS console is empty. If so, please reboot the IIS related service on the Management Point which the client access to: 1. Log on to the MP server, and open command prompt. 2. Enter iisreset After that, please reinstall the MP and test the issue.
