I have a csv with all the correct headers with all our licensing information in it. Certain lines in it cause it to fail to import. For example: This will import successfully.
Name,Publisher,Version,Language,EffectiveQuantity,PONumber,ResellerName,DateOfPurchase,SupportPurchased,SupportExpirationDate,Comments
indesign cs2,adobe,4,,1,,,,,,
indesign cs4,adobe,6,,14,,,,,,
lightroom,adobe,1,,11,,,,,,
lightroom,adobe,2,,2,,,,,,
livemotion,adobe,2,,3,,,,,,
pagemaker,adobe,5,,1,,,,,,
pagemaker,adobe,6,,2,,,,,,
But if I add this line to the csv, the import fails.
pagemaker,adobe,6.5,,2,,,,,,
The error is
"Failed to import licensing data into the site database."
We have over 500 lines in the csv, and without knowing why it's failing, I can't get rid of the offending lines to create a successful import.
SCCM 2007R2 (x64). (Everything x64). Fully patched as of Feb 2010.

Honestly for license management, third party tools that integrates with CM07 are much better than the build-in tools.

See the table under "Create a General License Statement Information File for Import" at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712322.aspx . the table says that if you have a major version for an app AND the major.minor version of the same app listed, the import
will fail as more than one entry matches the product version. Adobe pagemaker would be listed twice, once as version 6.x and again as v6.5 in the OP's sample data.
