Hi Anil Avula,

Regarding the account permission on the the DB instance. I've already checked it and upon checking, sql.admin has a permission itself like what you've said "DB creator and security admin".

Please advise any alternative or other possible solutions to my problem. It's been 3 days to troubleshoot my problem, but still persist.

Thank you

Hi Jubair,

To become easily understand the flow of the system, here's my configuration:

I have 3 Virtual Machine:

 - VMAD01 ( 1GB)

-   VMSQL  (1GB)

-   VMSP2013 (1GB)

Note: all services are up both VMSQL and VMSp2013

sql.admin - the account that currently using to install/ configure SQL server. Has a permission on "DBcreator and security admin" as well as Local administrator group .

sp.admin - the account using to install /configure SharePoint. Added to local administrator group as well.

Here's my problem,

When I tried to configure SharePoint and connect it to my SQl server (which is hosted by other Virtual Machine)  I got this error (see the image below)

Please advice what's wrong with my configuration or maybe any alternative/workaround solutions to this issue.

I would greatly appreciate for your quick response regarding this matter.

Thank you and Godbless

Hi

You could try manually creating the database using the following command:

psconfig.exe -cmd Configdb create SkipRegisterAsDistributedCacheHost
