FSRM Email Settings

I have been struggling with my email setting in FSRM. I have verified the following:

Exchange Server Settings:

Hub Transport has a Receive Connector defined as follows:

  • Network > All Available IPv4 Address  Port 25
  • File Server IP is in the list of servers to receive mail from
  • Authentication > Externally Secured is selected along  with Transport Layer Security
  • Permission Groups > Anonymous Users and Exchange Servers are checked.

FSRM Settings on File Server:

  • Email notifications-
  • SMTP Server > IP address of my Exchange Server
  • Default email address: my email address
  • Default "From" > FSRM@SERVERNAME.domain

Test emails fail eveytime...

Any ideas?

There should be an entry in the (System I think) event log about the failure with details of the error code.

Some things to keep in mind:

FSRM's identity is the machine's account so this account needs to have permissions to send email on the SMTP server. One thing you could try is disable all auth except anonymous on the mail server

You can check the SMTP receive log to verify that the FSRM server is connecting to the mail server

Hi,

Please try to create a new receive connector as discussed in this thread.
