FIM install failure - says the SharePoint Timer Service isn't started
Right after I click "Install," I get an error message: "The Sharepoint Timer service is not running... Retry or Cancel" The service is indeed running. I've tried just about everything I can think of but I am still left scratching my head... in desperate need of some help on this one. Thanks in advance, -Brian

Can you go into Services and tell me the name of SP timer Service? it should be something like SPTimer3 or SPTimer# etc, Also what version of Sharepoint are you using? and is the service "running"? Also can you run the msi installer to log to a text fle? for example: msiexec /i installer.msi /l*v log.txt thanks.Jose.

Just to be sure: what SharePoint version do you use? It should be Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 x64 with SP2
