Hi all, I encounter an issue with the FIM Service. When I start the Syncrhonization Service from the SharePoint UI, the FIM process starts and a few minutes later, the following message is displayed : The server encountered an unexpected error while performing an operation for the client. "BAIL: MMS(9036): mastate.cpp(3145): 0x80230622 (A management agent with this name already exists.): MA directory cannot be created because it is already in use by an existing MA: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Synchronization Service\MaData\ILMMA There is a folder called ILMMA as indicated in this error message. If I try to remove the MA and start the process again, the Agent is created agauin but the same error appear. Any help is welcome. HAve a nice day.

I can't comment on other members of this forum but I think you'd be better off posting on the SharePoint 2010 forum. Yes, both FIM Service and FIM Synchronization Service are a part of SharePoint and used by the User Profile Synchronizaton Application but everything is totally driven by SharePoint WS and time jobs. The SharePoint logs will yield more information for you I'm sure, but it sounds like it's failed during the setup of your synchronisation and is retrying and failing on a piece it's already completed. Oh and make sure you apply the SP CU to get the latest FIM builds.
