FIM R2 Add-in Silent installation issue
I'm attempting to install the FIM R2 client silently. All is fine if I install the application manually and I get the prompt to register for Password Reset on login to the desktop. If I run the install via a silent install I get an error in the install log. The command I am using is: <FIMInstall.msi> /quiet /norestart ADDLOCAL=PasswordClient RMS_LOCATION=<SERVERNAME> SITELOCK_DOMAIN=<SERVERNAME>;<SERVERNAME.DOMAINNAME> /l install.log The installation log gives me the error 'You must specify the FIM Password Registration Portal URL'. If I add in the REGISTRATION_PORTAL_URL switch I then get a browser opening up on login rather than the Password Reset Self Service window which normally comes up. If the switch classed as optional why am I being forced to use it? REGISTRATION_PORTAL_URL An optional URL of the FIM 2010 R2 password registration portal that the FIM portal will redirect to when the user clicks on the "Register for password reset" FIM portal homepage link I don't want the browser to be invoked for Password Reset, I want the method that users usually use to register. How can I get this to work via silent install. Thanks

Looks like the web based approach is now the standard for R2
