in my environment only IE works with FIM portal. neither FF, nor Chrome - both display 'Service not available' so, access from a mobile phone might work if you publish FIM portal with TMG or UAG and will use IE from a mobile phone... but I wouldn't even try to do this as portal should look ugly on a smartphone. I would rather have my own approval workflow and a custom service to accept plain text approvals by email from Blackberries, smartphones and other handhelds (I do actually have this in place, but that doesn't support FIM approvals - I have my own forms server, sharepoint service and so on...)

Guys Portal will work is Firefox Safari Chrome (does someone use Chrome ???) at one and only one condition You must configure the Kerberos credential presentation to the Server Remember that authentication is Windows (Kerberos), so you must push Kerberos ticket with your navigator For example with Firefox you have to open configuration, navigate to about:config and set the two following values with the URL of your FIM portal: network.negotiate-auth.delegation-uris network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris There is something similar to do with Safari but I m not specialist of tuning (only use it ;), and Chrome certainly have same option (if you really want to use it) But... FIM use SharepointPortal, this is build for IE, and will certainly have weird behaviour with another navigator (because IE use some "special" code where other use compliance) I guess that use FIM with other naigator than IE is to avoid, but you cannot force all clients to be Windows boxes. tried it with chrome it authenticates on a portal, but still showing 'service not available'... who cares, anyway.

'Service not available' indicate that you are not authenticate by FIM Service, maybe a misconfiguration around AccountName, Domain or ObjectSID ? Even if I guess that with IE it works in your case... But you are right, who cares for Chrome ;)http://www.iamthefrenchblog.com/

the answer for Chrome is that it authenticates with NTLM. it even works with other sharepont sites I have. even with MS Service Manager web console :)

SSPR requires the password extension software to be installed. This is not possible from mobile. Regards, Thomashttp://setspn.blogspot.com
