FIM Feature Overlap With Sentillion
Does anyone care to speculate how Microsoft will handle overlap in features between FIM and Sentillion? For one I am curious about the self service password reset offered in both tools.
If you are not familiar with Sentillion it's a newly aquired MS company.

Does FIM offer single sign on capabilities also?

FIM does not offer application SSO, like Sentillon does.
Sentillion recognizes different kind of logon screens of applications and proxies a credential to the application.
Sentillion is working on the front-end of the applications (GUI logons , while FIM rather works on the backend, synchronizing data between the actual data sources..

Thanks Peter. I saw a post somewhere that mentioned ILM has SSO? I am not familiar with ILM.
Do you feel like MS will keep password reset in both Sentillion and FIM?

I've actually used ILM to populate Sentillion before, demonstrating that the two are complimentary. Yet another XMA ;-)CraigMartin Edgile, Inc. http://identitytrench.com

Craig, I don't really know anything about ILM. Can you please elaborate on how it complements Sentillion?
