FIM 2010 with multiple domain controllers
Hello We have one domain spanned across 8 sites & 13 domain controllers. FIM 2010 is installed in one site & communicates with DC in that specific site. We are implementing Group management feature which will help users to automate group management. But the issue is since FIM communicates with only 1 DC, all changes are done on 1 DC only. then users have to wait for replication for changes to take effect at other sites. I have tried with preferred domain controller option in AD MA, but it only takes one DC. Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Anand KAnandk

No matter what DC FIM uses, other sites will always have to wait for replication... You could look into enabling change notification between sites. This would speed up the replication of changes quit a bit. Some explanation: http://www.expta.com/2009/03/how-to-enable-change-notification-on.html If you need more, google for "site link change notification"http://setspn.blogspot.com

Thanks for help Thomas. This can be done, but since we have single domain scenario so in case of any issue the changes will get replicated immediately which may cause problem. anyways thanks for help..Anandk
