When the patch for RC1 Update 3 > RTM will be available?
- Diego Shimohama http://www.dshimo.com.br
+1Our local MS rep for security products also told us that a "delta" of sorts would be made available to allow upgrade from RC1 U3 to RTM. If the RTM EVAL installer is being reported as similar to Update 3 (i.e. yet another new baseline/full installer) then I am not sure if it is possible to upgrade from RC1 U3 to RTM? Other than installing over the top? Also, any news as to when it will be available on MSDN for download? I see it's been added under the 'Servers' section, but has no download items listed under it.

I don't believe it will be available to VL until April, right now TAP/RDP customers can download via Connect.Brad Turner, ILM MVP - Ensynch, Inc - www.identitychaos.com

There is no "delta" or upgrade to get you to the RTM bits, you uninstall any version of RC you are on and then load the RTM bits. The RTM installer will upgrade the database accordingly, so all RC versions are supported to upgrade directly to RTM.Brad Turner, ILM MVP - Ensynch, Inc - www.identitychaos.com

The RTM can be applied to any FIM 2010 RC1 release. The install will uninstal and reinstall the RTM software and you will be asked if you want to reuse database. BrjannThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights

The download on MSDN is Forefront Identity Manager 2010 (x86) , (x86) is that correct? I thought it was only 64bit.Is this the same as the EVAL?

This is just beacuse they are packaged using the a 32bit version of WinZip.Just download them, and you will see that they are 64bit versions.Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Knowledge Engineer, Microsoft Corporation

Could someone please advise, if I install the Eval version which was released a couple of days ago, will I be able to go live with it beyond the evaluation period? To be honest I dont really want an eval, I want to use it long term, but the product isnt yet available on our Volume Licensing portal. Many thanks
