Hi,On a computer running win. 2008 enterprise x64, I installed FIM CM client x64, setup the correct active x parameters for the certificate management portal.Software enrollment is working great,but when I try a Smart card enrollment, I get this error message in the browser.-------------------------- Base CSP smart card self-service control is not installed or the current site is not specified in the allowed sites list by your Administrator. Please contact your system Administrator. Additional information: Automation server can't create object Your enrollment request is being processed. Do not remove your smart card from the reader. Please wait Enrollment Generating certificate requests and submitting them to the certificate authorities ... -------------------------- I get the same Base CSP error when I try the View details of the smart card currently in the readerAny idea?

Sounds to me like while you've installed the x64 CM client, you're actually using the x86 version of Internet Explorer and that will more than likely be the cause of your problem. You need to ensure that the architecture of the CM client (x86 or x64) matches the architecture of IE that you're using.Paul Adare CTO IdentIT Inc. ILM MVP
