FIM 2010 Portal: How can I grant Administrator rights to an existing user?
Forefront Identity Manager 2010 Portal: I have deleted a (duplicated) administrator account from FIM Portal, and it correctly synced over my normal Active Directory account into the portal. I can log in, but I no longer have administration rights inside the portal (I still have full access to the Synchronization Service Manager, as this uses standard AD access rights). How can I grant user administration rights on the FIM Portal?

There is noone currently in the Administrator set. After I deleted the duplicated user, the "new" one that correctly synced over does not have administrative rights. But I have full control of the server, so I'm looking for a way to configure this without Administrative rights within Portal.

I would suggest reinstall if it isn't too much trouble. If that's not feasible, contact Microsoft PSS (they might or might not have something for you) >>But I have full control of the server Unfortunately, FIMService manages its own right system through MPR. Local Admin or Domain Admin doesn't make that user special to FIM The FIM Password Reset Blog http://blogs.technet.com/aho/
