FIM2010 Database cleanup
Hi ... I have FIM2010 in my production environment with over 70 000 (users) objects in the portal. What is the best way to "clean up" the portal... I want to delete users, delete the ERE's and DRE's. I want to back up my VM in a initial stage. Thanks,***** Paulo H. Campos - So Paulo/Brasil ***** http://identitypedia.blogspot.com (in PT-BR)

I posted a script in the script box a while back which you can use to delete users from a test environment. I'm not sure about the ere's and dre's.http://www.wapshere.com/missmiis

"A method to remove orphaned ExpectedRuleEntry objects from your environment" explains how to delete orphaned EREs. You can use the same logic to delete orphaned DREs. In general, you are better off using database backups of certain states. See "Using PowerShell to manage multiple FIM scenarios on a lab computer" for more details on this.
