Extracting User Profile Data ins SP 2010
Whats the best way to extract SharePoint user profile data. I need to send user profile data to an external application from SharePoint when a user updates his/her profile. Is there any built in functionality in SharePoint?

Hi,
Yes, by default you can sync the information back to AD and then to any application that is able to use LDAP.
