Extra Space in between rows of SSRS 2008 reports
Hi, I have matrix report that was developed in SSRS 2005. Currently, we are working in migration of SSRS 2005 reports to SSRS 2008 reports. After report migration from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008 ; there we encountered problem in report apperance or lay out in SSRS 2008. The reports are deployed to intranet( web application) and report manager. When reports deployed I noticed extra space between some of the rows and at the top of reports that results in little room for the report to be displayed per page and resulting scroll bar disappear at the bottom. In the visual studio, there are about ten hidden tablixes at the top of matrix reports that is used to determine the calculation (expression) in main report matrix. I have tried to make tablixes as small as possible to fit the report in a page. But that didn't resolve my problem either. I couldn't remove gaps betwen rows that results in extra space between rows. % Rate -- 52.4% 53.8% 50.6% 50.4% 48.3% 49.8% 50.7% 50.2% 53.6% xyz -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 0 Any helpful idea or answer much appreciated!!! Thanks! mercyme

Hi Miheretuyem, If you just want to show one record in one tablix, you could turn to Textbox control, to this issue of yours, I would recommend you put these ten textboxes and matrix into one big container control- rectangle. Please have a try. Thanks, Challen Fu

Hi Challen, Sorry for my delay response. Thank you so much for your helpful taughts! Actually, this two rows are part of matrix reports that has eight rows. This issue happens for rows that has hidden tablixes and other records properly align each other with out extra space between them. In my SSRS 2005 reports I do not have this issue. But after we migrated our reports from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008 , I noticed some changes in report appearans. This is due to SSRS 2005 and SSRS 2008 handles hidden tablixe property in differenty way. In SSRS 2008, even after you turn text box visiblity setting hide it still occupies space in report body. I have tried containing in rectangle but it didn't work. Thanks!
