Extended Zones are not present Authentication Providers
Hi All, In one of our production SharePoint farm we are facing one strange issue; we have extended 4 AAM’s for one web application & having one another web application doesn’t have any AAM and we checked in AAM option under Operations tab in CA it seems correct for both the web application i.e. AAM zones are displayed correctly for extended web app & other web app have only one zone that is also default zone. When we checked in Authentication provider section, AAM created for web application showing only Default zone whereas another web app (do not have AAM) have listed zones. It is confusing us how it could happened, can any provide your input on this issue. Thanks in advance. Saravanan

Hi Saravanan, Click the Zone in Authentication Providers, and go to Edit Authentication page, do it display correct web application? In Authentication Providers page, if you select a web application, then SharePoint will get its web app id, pass the web app id to filter zones and related zones will display under it. You web application works well, so it should not have any problems in data base. Have you ever modified AuthenticationProviders.aspx page under 12 Hive/template/Admin? Or could you please elaborate your farm structure a bit more so that we can do more research on it? Thanks & Regards, Emir
